Catalogs – a great source for inspiration

Are you stumped for some fresh jewelry ideas? Sometimes when I feel it's time for some new jewelry I just don't quite know what I want. For inspiration I turn to the catalogs that I receive throughout the year and look at what the models are wearing. Some catalogs, like Sundance, are filled with fantastic hand made pieces that are very affordable. If I don't buy anything from the catalog I can at least narrow down what I am looking for. Sometimes I cut out a picture and take it with me when I go shopping so that I can remember the important details. I love jewelry that has gemstones and is made from silver or pewter. Silver metal goes better with my wardrobe than gold, and I find gemstones just add some elegance to the piece. Where do you get your inspiration from when you are looking for some interesting new jewelry?
